Welcome BIS Alumni

This past May, the BIS program graduated its first student from our partnership with Tidewater Community College. In just seven short years, the BIS Program has established its place at U.Va. and has gained recognition as one of Virginia's premiere part-time undergraduate degree programs.

Our students and alumni are an integral part of that success. Thirteen of our 52  recent graduates were honored with "Distinction",  Seven  with "High Distinction" and nine with "Highest Distinction" at the Commencement Ceremonies in May 2008.  BIS students continue to be inducted into the Beta Iota Lambda Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Many of our BIS alumni continue their education by entering graduate school (read our most recent newsletter about two of our graduates.) Others transition into new careers or advance in their existing professions. We wish all our alumni continued success.
