Certificate in Nonprofit Management
(Available at our University Center)
Our Certificate in Nonprofit Management is designed to provide nonprofit leaders, staff, board members and volunteers the training needed to meet their organization’s mission efficiently and effectively. The flexible program allows students to customize their own course of study. The certificate is earned in 35 contact hours and there are no required courses. Students are encouraged to enroll in courses that are most valuable for their current work or for meeting their career or volunteer aspirations. The curriculum offers a selection of both overview and skill-based workshops so that generalists and specialists can benefit from achieving this certificate. There is no deadline for completing the certificate.
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management offers a range of courses in the following key areas of nonprofit management:
- Planning and Operations
- Fundraising and Marketing
- Finance and Accounting
- Human Resources and Leadership
- Legal Issues
- Board Development.
Three key themes will be emphasized in all courses:
- Significance of mission
- Importance of key relationships
- Application of evolving technologies.
