A Hands-On Workshop on American Furniture

Course Description: Each of the generations of early American furniture—Pilgrim, Queen Anne, Chippendale, Hepplewhite, and Sheraton—has its own construction technique. In this unique workshop, we will learn through a hands-on examination of antique furniture from each era. After an introductory lecture at U.Va., classes will be held in a home that contains one of the largest collections of early American furniture.
