Course Description: Learn the basic elements of conversational Spanish language. This introductory course is designed for true beginners or for those who need a review of the basics. It will provide the fundamental Spanish language tools to begin describing yourself and others; your surroundings and daily activities; and to express likes, dislikes, needs, and intentions in the present tense. Basic grammar concepts include sentence structure, the agreement of gender and number, ser and estar verbs, the formal and informal tú and usted forms, and the three verb conjugations. Basic idiomatic expressions useful for work, relationships, and travel will also be covered. Cultural aspects will help put the language into context.
