| NCPD 008 The Art of Successful Investing Course Description: Investing is one of the most effective ways to get your money working for you today so that you will be financially secure tomorrow. This course provides a fuller understanding of the investment fundamentals that are necessary to build a successful long-term strategy. We begin with a broad survey of the individual building blocks of an investment portfolio, including stocks, bonds, cash, options, and “alternative” investments. Next, we explore the most commonly used investment vehicles. We will also discuss the burgeoning field of behavioral finance and how psychology can trip up even the most savvy investors. Finally, we will put the components together and examine two leading paradigms of portfolio management. Classes will be interactive and practical. Prerequisites:
