Physics Education Professional Development Courses
(Available online and at our Northern Virginia, Roanoke, and University Centers)
A variety of opportunities are available for middle school physical science and high school physics teachers to gain a stronger background in physics.
For those interested in taking courses for professional development, students can select online courses as well as summer workshops taught in Charlottesville. These courses and workshops will help teachers gain more physics content, obtain recertification points, add a physics teaching endorsement, or gain credits to later transfer into a graduate program. Learn more about these professional development opportunities.
Courses are also offered for those interested in earning a Master of Arts in Physics Education. Courses in the degree program are also available for professional development.
These courses and programs are offered jointly through the University's Department of Physics and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
