Book Buddies Online

Book Buddies training is now available as an online workshop. This is a perfect way to support your early intervention project—training coordinators and, through them, your volunteers. The online workshop can be taken three times a year—we begin a new cohort every semester. 

A Book Buddies coordinator from the University of Virginia will facilitate the course, answering questions and contributing to the discussion forum. Individuals or groups can take the workshop simultaneously. Lessons are interactive and include case studies of other school districts' planning. You will learn how to assess an emergent/early reader and then design instruction based on the assessment. A bonus to the course is the resource guide for setting up a Book Buddies program.
